Facilities and Location
We are pleased to announce that this year camp will again be held at Fox Island in Southwest Allen County.
Fox Island is a 605-acre park that contains the largest contiguous forest in the county, many fields, a playground, and a lake surrounded by the sandy beach. Multiple trails, which run through the preserve, enable campers to enjoy the beauty of the park and to meet many of its inhabitants.
From the Bird Observation building, our campers will be able to look closely at some of the Fox Island’s animals, including 217 species of birds, 13 varieties of reptiles, and 25 kinds of mammals, who frequently visit the area.
Our Staff
Larisa Drozdova is returning as Camp Director and Samantha McGlennen as Assistant Director. As in the years past, we will have some of the most dedicated and enthusiastic youth from our community joining us as counselors. Also, returning for the seventh year, are counselors from Israel. These young adults are part of the SOUL TRAIN organization; a program devoted to fostering Judaism and close ties with Israel, in partnership with JAFI (The Jewish Agency for Israel).
We look forward to sharing great experiences with your child at Camp Joe Levine, where kids make memories and share experiences that last a lifetime!
Camp Joe Levine will be held at beautiful Fox Island again in 2010.
